Terms and Conditions of Sale

Here you can read the terms and conditions that apply when you shop at Sideslip’s online store, www.luftfartsfag.no. These terms apply to purchases made by private individuals.

1. The Agreement

2. The Parties

The seller is Sideslip, referred to below as “the seller”.

Information about Sideslip:

Organisation no. 993 430 757

Sundliveien 28, 9325 Bardufoss

sideslip@utsa.uit.no

The buyer is the consumer who places the order, referred to below as “the buyer”.

3. Payment

The seller may require payment for the goods from the time they are dispatched to the buyer.

If the buyer pays by credit or debit card, the seller may reserve the purchase amount on the card when the order is placed. The card is charged on the day the goods are dispatched.

4. Delivery

Delivery is completed when the buyer, or the buyer’s representative, takes possession of the goods.

If the delivery date is not specified at checkout, the seller must deliver the goods without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the customer places the order. The goods must be delivered to the buyer unless the parties have expressly agreed otherwise.

5. Right of withdrawal

Unless the agreement is exempt from the right of withdrawal, the buyer may withdraw from the purchase in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act.

The buyer must notify the seller of their decision to withdraw within 14 days of the start of the withdrawal period. The period includes all calendar days. If it ends on a Saturday, public holiday or other non-working holiday, it is extended to the next working day.

The deadline is considered to have been met if the notice is sent before the end of the withdrawal period. The buyer bears the burden of proving that the right of withdrawal was exercised, so notice should be given in writing (by email or letter).

The withdrawal period begins:

  • For the purchase of a single item, on the day after the goods are received.

  • Where the purchase involves several deliveries, on the day after the final delivery is received.

If the seller has not informed the buyer of the right of withdrawal before the agreement is concluded, the withdrawal period is extended to 12 months after the original deadline. The same applies if information about the conditions, deadlines and procedure for exercising the right of withdrawal is missing. If the trader supplies this information during those 12 months, the withdrawal period will instead expire 14 days after the buyer receives it.

When exercising the right of withdrawal, the buyer must return the goods to the seller without undue delay and no later than 14 days after giving notice. The buyer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, unless otherwise agreed or unless the seller failed to inform the buyer that return costs would be payable. The seller may not charge a fee for exercising the right of withdrawal.

The buyer may inspect or test the goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and function without losing the right of withdrawal. If testing exceeds what is reasonable and necessary, the buyer may be liable for any reduction in the value of the goods.

The seller must reimburse the purchase price without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the buyer’s notice of withdrawal. The seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been returned or the buyer has provided evidence that they have been sent back.

6. Returns

Goods being returned to the seller must be sent to the address below. The buyer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, which must be sent with a tracking number.

Goods must be returned to:

Sideslip

Sundliveien 28

9325 Bardufoss

7. Complaints and Defective Goods

The right to complain covers defects in products, but not damage caused, for example, by normal wear and tear.

Complaints should be submitted by email to sideslip@utsa.uit.no. Always include photos, the date the defect was discovered and a detailed description of the problem.

The seller reserves the right, in the first instance, to repair the defect, replace the goods or, as a last resort, issue a refund.

A complaint must be made within a reasonable time and no later than two years after the consumer received the goods. If the goods, or parts of them, are intended to last substantially longer under normal use, the period for making a complaint is five years.

8. Dispute Resolution

The parties shall attempt to resolve any disputes amicably. If this is unsuccessful, the buyer may contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) for mediation. All disputes shall be governed by Norwegian law. If a case is brought before the courts, it shall be heard in the buyer’s legal venue, normally in or near the area where the buyer lives.
